Adi Shankar disappoints gamers everywhere and announces DMC animated series

When you say “legendary” and “iconic” in your teaser and mix it in with “Japanese gaming company,” the first thing that comes to mind isn’t gonna be fricking Capcom and Devil May Cry of all god damn games.
I knew it wasn’t gonna be Zelda because big N is real anal about the creative interpretation of their IP but come on man. DMC? Couldn’t have at least done a fresh take on like Secret of Mana or something like that?

I mean, Devil May Cry is kinda the foundation for the current style of action games. It's not one of the biggest games series out there (I mean, it's way bigger than Secret of Mana

My point is Square is much more reputable than Capcom and putting DMC in the iconic category is a bit of a stretch IMO.

Dante, Vergil, the Belmont clan, Dracula and Alucard all part of the same "bootleg multiverse" and you're bitching about it?
If he has Reuben Langdon, Dan Southworth and Johnny Young Bosch all voice their characters from the games, you've got a great thing going.
The only way I could see the two properties being tied together is if it's revealed that Nero's mother is a Belmont.
