why is everyone so hyped for Battlefront?! 
it's going to basically be a husk of the game everyone loves, yet everyone is going to spend money on it and give EA their money

EA has actually done a lot very good things in recent years. Ubisoft has been 100 times shittier lately.

Not sure about Rising. There was some talk about Rising 2 a while back, but just very light rumors. I have heard nothing in a while.
I actually thought the story was nice, but I wasn't a big fan of the gameplay. MG Rising's gameplay was of more interest to me. I've always been a huge fan of hack and slash rpg esque games like Dynasty Warriors for example.
