The now defunct Sammy's Seafood Restaurant. I was there with others and I barely remember the mediocre food over the horrific stench of cat urine/spray. It was adjacent to an alley that was home to a family of stray cats. I couldn't wait to get the flock out of that place.

This. Had a groupon to Sammy's a few years ago. Even half off, I overpaid for that crap

What's wrong with Deanie's? Granted, I ate fried seafood when I went there, but thought it was great. The family loved it.

checkered parrot and ralph/kacoos for the win

previous poster on Deannies was spot on....sit at bar, have a cold turbo dog draft and bbq shrimp and perhaps a cup of gumbo...not top notch but far better than average....good for a quick lunch or early dinner by yourself

I hate the Coffee Pot.

But unlike others I like some of the tourist traps like Mothers and cafe Masperos (corned beef and pastrami).

Having never been to Court of Two Sisters, ever, I'd say that their sister "casual" restaurant may be THE worst restaurant in the Quarter - even inebriated... Casual Dining at the Court Tavern 614 Bourbon Street

I worked at the Court as a teenager for a summer. Would never, ever eat there. Horrible food.

I went to Frank's once with the family, because we were walking around, got hungry, and wanted to grab a few shrimp sandwiches. It was ok. Nothing good, nothing bad, just completely mediocre shrimp po boys.

I find Maspero's to be horrible. I've eaten there twice - once at lunch and once at dinner. It's just a shitty french quarter restaurant.

Not sure which of the Masperos it was but that was my worst meal in the FQ as well.

I had some clients come in from out of town and they wanted to go to Bourbon House, and like most French Quarter places, mediocre food at ridiculous prices.

One across from Napolean House. Not "The original Pierre Maspero's" which I am sure is just as terrible.

I think I was at the latter, so maybe they are both awful.

You can get a passable sandwich at the one on Decatur, just don't try to venture too far on their menu. From everything I can tell, the other one across from the Napoleon House is just categorically awful.
