I really don't see why some of you put PF Chang's into this category. I knw it's overrated and many people in BR consider it fine 4 star dining, but it's worlds better than a place like Ralph and K's or Joe's. It's not even on that same level. The food is pretty decent, IMO.
What I dislike so much about Chang's is the price versus the portions. There's just not enough to fill you up. If my girl and I go or the parents take us, we usually order different entrees and share. One night, my girl and I had the s&p prawns and lemon scallops and I swear I would have been more full off of a box of popcorn. With the entrees, order of calamari, and drinks, I had dropped 60 bucks. So, that's what I hate the most about Chang's. Again, though...nowhere near the poor quality of frozen Joe's Crabshack. Chang's is what it is...it's just like Karaba's and Bonefish...better than average 3 star chain restaurants.

I'm going by my experiences at the Changs in Houston. I've never been to the one in BR.
Also, Carrabba's is the shite. The original is in Houston and used to be outstanding, but has fallen off a few notches over the years.

FWIW, that's my biggest complaint about Chang's, too. I don't go anymore because it's either buy three entrees to split between the two of us, or stop by taco bell on the way home.

Got tired of it.
I used to eat there in Austin all the time when I'd go up to UTexas in high school.
Nothing personal, just think it's really overrated, over priced, and has gone way down hill.

Just messing with ya. I actually think Pluckers is good for what you get (wings). They have some decent sandwiches too. I also enjoy their BBQ Nachos and cheese fries. I don't get why people lump all of the Pappas restaurants together. Pappas BBQ is awful. Worse than Luthers. However, Pappasitos is very good. Good salsa and fajitas. Overpriced? Hell yes, but the food is not bad. Better than most of the generic chain Mexican places in Houston.

I haven't been to a Pappasito's in well over 5 years. I refuse to go to Pappa's, Pappasito's, Pappadeaux's, ect. It's a shame too, Pappa's family of restaurants used to be good food and at a good price, but it is neither now.
