Wonder Roast Chicken

Many years ago you could get these roasted chickens in many conv stores,,,,anyone got the seasoning recipe?

Can't help you there, but last week I was in Costco and decided to try one of their rotisserie chickens and it was very good. It was nicely seasoned and not overly salty like some others I've had from other stores.
Cooked to perfection and very juicy, even the white meat portions. And for $4.99, it is one of the better deals in the store.

They had a line waiting for them to come out last time I was there. I always buy one. Easy to pull all the meat and use carcass to make stock.

Always a line at my costco for them. I use them to make quick gumbos. Ton of meat and nicely seasoned for 5 dollars.

I get to the store as early as I can and have not seen lines waiting for the roasted chickens. I'd imagine later in the day, especially as people get off work and are heading home there are a lot of people wanting them.
I'm a senior and take advantage of them opening at 9 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. I can get in, buy what I want and get out in about 1/2 hour. No lines at the checkout, especially the self-serve ones that I always use.

I prefer the Sam’s Club chickens, but we mostly use them for either gumbo or chicken salad. They aren’t nearly as good as roasting your own chicken if you are just eating them.
What they are is cheap - I can’t even buy a raw whole chicken for $4.99 from my local grocery stores.

Exactly. That is why they are so popular. A fryer will cost that, or more, and you still have to season it and cook it.
I roasted a chicken in the oven last night and it took the better part of 2 hours to finish, along with the scalloped potato casserole that went with it.

Calvins Bocage still does them. Maybe slip a few bucks to someone and ask for some of the seasoning.

Not even close. Costco actually loses a little money on them but it brings people into the store. I've never had to wait in line for them. I have had to wait for a fresh batch. Cheapest protein you can find.
