Right? Zaxby’s, Foosackly’s, Gutheries, and I’m sure a ton of other regional “Chicken Finger Box” places all do it better than Cane’s.

ETA: At the end of the day though, the one guy who said it’s just fried chicken strips is right. But these other places have more variety than Cane’s.

It is marinated in brine for 24 hours. That's the "seasoning". You referring to lack of seasoning in the batter?

I’m perplexed how anyone could eat that greasy expensive shite if they’re not drunk or high. It’s great late night, after party food. It’s not fit to eat otherwise.

I don’t ever envision a recipe change, but I am surprised there isn’t a spicy option like Popeyes has.

There’s always lines at the Canes here. For the price and it not even tasting good, I don’t get it.

I just can’t taste anything in the chicken itself. And the sauce is pretty good, but if I’m going to be eating a hunk of greasy fried chicken as my sauce vehicle, I’d rather it have some flavor to add too. Might as well eat something healthy in the sauce.

Hell my local best stop blows canes out the water. Bigger, cheaper, tastes better.

You can request hot sauce to add to your Canes sauce. I was turned onto this a while back and though I don't eat Canes very often, it's a game changer when I do.

I'm not a restaurant guy, but I know enough about business as a whole.

If he's effectively operating at capacity / keeping his restaurants printing money with the current offerings, why add complexity / an additional SKU. Would likely result in more waste at the end of each day as well as less operating efficiency.

I have some friends in California who think "Cane's is the best chicken they ever had," which is so bizarre to me...

If you give Californians a choice between Popeyes biscuits and store-bought English muffins, they will choose the English muffins every time.

They are weird people with weird palettes.

Can yall stop bashing canes on here? They’ve already had enough trouble finding meat to serve ever since Covid shut down the wet markets

I get why Todd doesn’t change the recipe, I’m saying I don’t get why it’s so insanely popular when it’s just plain chicken.

Im with you.

But also you’re going to get a ton of hate for this opinion.

the only thing adding different menu items will do is increase wait times and the one thing Cane's prides itself on is quick service like you used to get back in the day at McDonalds and other fast food places

I haven't had all of the other places mentioned in this thread, but Zaxby's blows the doors off Cane's

I wish it did, they have better variety, but the product is disappointing, and the employee are Popeyes rejects.

The appeal of cane's is that the chicken isn't dry. Most problem with chicken fingers is people overfry the shite out of it and the chicken is too dry. The brine may be the reason Cane's is different.

I don't eat it that often, unless i relent when the kids beg me.

Please dont encourage them as they will see the need to raise prices AGAIN by another 35%.

Todd is not going to change anything. He is not going to add anything to the menu either. Why would he? He has the simplest model on earth.

also, do you guys ever get tired of this same old conversation/complaining about Cane's?
