The wife and I am hooked on wedge salads instead of tossed. It does have a different taste and texture.

It's hard to believe that lettuce loses something within minutes of tossing it. Of course it doesn't start the wilting process as fast when serve as a wedge.

It doesn't. And it's not a salad. It's just lazy.

Have you tried mutually tossing each other's salads?

You gotta have bleu cheese dressing AND crumbled bleu cheese.

And preferably Marie's bleu dressing, no bottle stuff.

At our house, it is because we always have the wife's (MHNBPF) Thousand Island Salad Dressing on it.

So a half jar/bottle thing is different?

There is a major taste difference between the bottle stuff on the shelves and the jarred stuff above the lettuce. It's not just Marie's, there is another brand we get if avail, forget name.

And by the looks of my upvotes and downvotes in my OP, looks like I touched a nerve, split 50/50.

Did some digging and found your 2016 post on the preparation of said dressing -- which also happens to mention wedge salad.

However...

I also see something added to your current iteration. Looks like more than just fresh ground pepper, eh?

So happy that you are back to posting.

I forgot that one.

I think the photo I used tonight only has black pepper added to the thousand island recipe you linked to.

I understand that, but it’s still in a bottle.

If you’re going to be picky/snobby at least make your own.
