Because I'm there already. By the time I get back in the car, drive somewhere else that will also have a wait, I could have been eating already.

I think the thing I don't get about Sammy's is a wait at every time. Like.. from 5pm until 9pm.
We rarely have to wait anywhere because we wait until about 8pm to leave the house and head somewhere. I expect a wait almost anywhere at 6:30 on a Friday night.
Living close to Sammy's, I see people outside waiting at the times when most other places don't have a wait.

I think it's a bit rude to take off down the street, especially if the buzzer doesn't reach that far. Never know when they may have a table pop open for you then if you're not there you leave the hostess hanging.
She said it was going to be an hour and that if we were going to walk around outside of the buzzer radius to check back in in 45 minutes. I was fine grabbing drink at the restaurant and waiting, but the girl gave me permission to break the buzzer barrier. I didn't ask questions and headed off to get some good beer, since Rum House's selection is utter garbage.

Sounds like a well-conceived and executed plan.

I don't even know the last time a restaurant has given me a buzzer. I wasn't sure if places still used them.
I left Bin 77 to go have wine at Loft while waiting because they said the wait was some ridiculous length of time and they had no open spots at the bar.

The food is decent [I hate the fact that they don't have drink specials]. But, sometimes people overhype that place.

Would be a helluva throw from the Pvill location.
