I keep going back and forth. My speed is better with the Del Mar, but short putts are better with the Phantom X 5.5.

You’ll figure it out, can’t go wrong with either one. Be thankful you’re playing, first summer in over 55 years I could not play golf. I picked up a new hobby - bourbon.

Well nobody responded when I asked if anyone had grabbed this pick from Zuppardo’s. Was looking for some reviews before buying but based on the $79 price tag, I figured I couldn’t go wrong. Very good bottle. I’m a big fan of wine finished bottles and this one at 110 proof is so soft on the finish I think I may go grab another. The more sips I take, the longer the finish stays.

How sweet is it? I've found their stuff is good quality, but it tends to be right on the edge of my tolerance for sweetness.
Fresh crack
Update: speaking of sweet, this is definitely a dessert bottle. Fortunately there's ample spice to help balance it out a bit

I’m not a fan of their regular release because of the overly sweet finish, but this one coming in at 110 proof gives it more depth to subdue the sweet finish. Def can pick up that heavier port finish. It’s priced right. May sound stupid since it was $80 but I feel like had I paid anything north of $95 or so for this bottle I’d be a bit disappointed. I see Zuppardo’s put out a barrel pick of JDBP today. Hoping they have some left tomorrow.

Good to know. Might have to give them another try.
Heaven hill has a really solid line of moderately priced barrel proofs going with EC, Larceny, and Bernheim. I hope they add a rye to that line. Rittenhouse or pikesville would be fantastic.

Customer brought both of these in to taste.
