SPD Crowded Barrel High Rye Bourbon

Cheers! I remember when this bottle was first released you couldn’t find it anywhere. It flew off the shelf as fast as it got stocked. Thankfully it is now readily available. I enjoy this one as much as enjoy the Rare Breed bourbon.

Blind tasting of finished bourbons. While I bought quite a few others, these clearly stood out. I didn't include the LR cigar batch starlight because it absolutely overtakes the palate. It's in its own category to me.

I think it's their best release so far. This one was a lot of fun. Hirsch edged out vantage, but it was close. Vantage had a great oak note. Ultimately hirsch had a little more complexity. Both are delicious.
The white port really shines on the starlight. It just didn't have the same complexity as the others and was at a proof disadvantage.
All three of these are no doubters when it comes to purchasing at retail.

My first pour. Hoping to make this a new hobby. This was a nice way to start. Can’t wait to add to my bourbon corner!

Had more than a few beers at home, then a not so good OF at Louisiana Lagniappe. Redeeming that with this pour.
