Good afternoon gentlemen. After almost two weeks, I'm happy (and relieved) to report I can actually taste again. Taking a variety of small pours to play a little catch up.

Technically the first pour was at rouses (orvw). I ended up getting a Woodford VFRB (not in a basket).

Elios but they just dropped an Oak & Eden peeps are raving about

Oak & Eden’s unique twist on the bourbon experience is here! Their Spire Select program gave us the ability to create a unique flavor profile. We selected the mash build, strength, wood stave, and toast level to Frankenstein together a totally unique bottle! "

Fresh crack.

Impressions: the nose is incredible. The palate has more oak and spice, and less sweetness, than the typical Barrell releases.

Speaking of oak and spice this is one funky pour.

Amburana is the magic behind Starlight Cigar batch. This is the first time I've seen it listed outside of that. I'm definitely intrigued.

Evening baws, I’ll join you in enjoying a fantastic rye this evening, back home (was in New Orleans all day)

Had some pretty amazing drinks at a friend’s house earlier today

ETA: I will add that I somehow didn’t die and this time I didn’t even spend time in my old stomping grounds (Uptown)

Seagrass is one of my favorite summer pours, unfortunately didn’t pick a bottle up this summer, just had too many others to get and it fell on the back burner

You may have seen, but Maisanos has a cigar batch out now. Briarwood in Jackson (MS) has a MadVines cigar batch pick. I got someone to snag one for me and I’m looking forward to comparing it to the Lincoln Road version.

I’m waiting patiently for one, I hear it’s great, had some good pours yesterday at the Rouses pop up deal and they had some great allocated baskets for sale at good pricing. I see Maisano’s dropped his KLuke toasted barrel rye, may call today and order one.

I actually ordered two on release day. I'm looking forward to seeing how it compares to LR as well. It's such a unique flavor profile.

I guess I may have mentioned how much I like it a few times The Rouses event was good. If you want that toasted barrel, you'll have to call tomorrow morning. Those Mississippi stores are closed on Sundays. They're puritans over there, except for the dozens of casinos.
