I bought one a year ago or so, it’s heavy on the oak note. So, if you like that, then you should be good.

How does it compare to an EC 18?

Favorably. Just poured a little of the EC18 for a direct comparison. The fable has a better nose and mouthfeel. The EC 18 is a little sweeter and hotter on the finish.

Thanks for the comp, was just curious because the couple EC 18’s I’ve tried have been very oak forward. I tend to find that in overly aged low proof bottles, the oak note gets more profound, as the other notes are a bit “watered down” by the added water.

You just can’t avoid a 15+ year bourbon being oak forward. I vv miss the 15 year Knob Creek store picks. Great price, big bottles.

1910 is my favorite from OF. Typically the 1920 would be given the proof, but there's just something special about the flavor profile.
