Yes!!! JellyClown busted that out at our last whiskey meetup a few months back, and I found one left on the shelf at Acquistipace a week later. It’s amazing. I think it was Curds who said he got strawberries out of it, and he was spot on

1PD as my sort of non-bourbon journey continues. Gave up standard bourbon for lent as a way to force me to explore more rye, wheat, scotch, Irish and even rum. Haven’t been much of a wheat fan for the most part, but this Elk from Maisanos is quite tasty. I especially like it with a sweet wrapper cigar.

I enjoy their double oak plenty. I have some ryes that I like, but for like wheat mash bills I am very hit or miss.

Yup! I figured since I am mainly a bourbon drinker this is a good way to learn more appreciation for other whiskeys. Really I’ve been delving into the rum game a day result, and I’m liking it. Wish it were higher proof though. I’m currently on this 2PD and find I would’ve enjoyed it more if I didn’t have the 125proof Elk first. That 80 proof drinks weak now. It’s still very good though.
