Your best bet is to do some online research. If you find that the brand does source then look at the label on the back of the bottle and it will say where it was distilled. Tennessee if sourced will most likely be Dickel, Indiana will be MGP, Kentucky if sourced will probably be from Barton? It’s harder to really tell where it’s sourced from if it’s coming from Kentucky, because they won’t typically tell you, and there are so many distilleries in Kentucky.

this 16 year old Dickel is really good and since I opened the bottle, very good.
I have a 14 year Dickel and experienced the opposite. Was fine when first opened, but now it’s got some weird funk on it

these bottle series have a reputation of being very good. This bottle was a blend of 16 and 17 year.

Got it on sale. It seems to have been out of stock for a while.

Is it only Dickel?
I picked up The Representative, and it’s 4 year MGP. Tastes a bit young, hoping it’ll open up a bit with time.

They opened their own distillery back in 2015, so I would assume most of their non-age stated stuff is their own product. Could be wrong though

2PD, I don’t know why this doesn’t get more hype, IMO it’s on par with OF 1920, with a bit more proof and it’s a single barrel.

Speaking of Peerless, I saw Rouses is getting 3 picks, anyone know where they will be located? To my knowledge we never received the Woodford Double Oaked pick in Lafayette.

Papa, best answer I could find.

Whiskey reviewers, and even whiskey guru and author Chuck Cowdery, can’t trace the source of Michter’s actual bourbon with total transparency from the brand itself. Short answer: Like many bourbons, Michter’s distilling has been outsourced, but with the development of its own farm and even a micro-distillery in Louisville, it’s trying to bring things in-house.

Apparently it was leaked in Minnick’s book that they were sourcing from Brown-Forman, but not sure if that’s exclusive or if they had multiple sources. I didn’t realize that Brown-Forman even provided sourced whiskey for anyone
