Yeah this Pinhook has a lot of menthol to it. Very unique. Tastes like a minty doctor pepper, but in a good way.

3PD am sticking with the ryes (1st was whistle pig 10 at my neighbors, which I’m unsure if I like it or not)

I really like it. I’m not much on high proof stuff, but with a little ice to tone it down for me this is great. This is my first Booker’s, so I couldn’t compare it to any of the other batches. As far as picking out individual flavors I’m not very good at that. I can pick out caramel and leather in this and that’s about it.

Midget I love that Willet Rye. Very easy to find and priced just right. Delicious.

Popping the cork on a new one. Lagavulin Distillers Edition 2020, aged 15 years.

Now that is a fantastic whisky. The 12 is my favorite Lagavulin, but the 16 and DE are not far behind.

Really enjoying this one. Better than Angels Envy port. But it’s allocated.

No worries, I’m not great at it either. Two off the top of my head that just jump out at me are the nuttiness of Jim Beam and bananas on 1792. I’m definitely not an expert at identifying notes in more complex bourbons

Love the Peat.

Got a bottle of Ardbeg Uigeadail i'm gonna open up this weekend.

Been wanting Dark Cove for awhile, but don't want to pay the $400 secondary price.

These is something about Glenmorangie that just doesn’t do it for me.

I’ve got a bottle of the Quinta Ruban and to me it is just meh, and I usually like port cask finishes.

I’ve had glasses of a couple other Glenmorangie offerings and just don’t care for it.

This one tastes like straight grenadine with some honey and blueberry. Very smooth and rounded.

Tastes even more sweet after the smoke on the Lagavulin.

If I’m having multiple glasses of different whisky, I always have the peated one last. Otherwise I find it ruins my palate for the unpeated ones.

I usually follow the same rule, but wasn't ready to call it a night yet.
