What are you looking for?
It's highly unlikely that you're going to be able to just stroll into any of the stores in Lafayette and pick up highly allocated whiskey, but if you're just looking for good shelfies, then Veron's, Nunu's, Champagne's, and Marcello's will have pretty much anything you're looking for.

I'm not looking for any highly allocated bourbon just a store with possible store pics and a good selection. Also would like to purchase from a store you local guys like.
I'm visiting and just have a short time so wanted to get some opinions. Thanks for your list!

Veron's has a WhistlePig pick
Nunu's in Youngsville has 2 Makers picks
Champagne's (in the oil center) has a Barrell pick, a Pinhook pick, a WhistlePig pick, and a Makers pick
Marcello's has a Bulleit pick
I'm sure I'm missing some, but these are the picks that I know of right now.

So, i went 'crazy' today and bought this at Sam's in Denham for the backbreaking price of $28. Louisiana Reserve...I had a friend who had a earlier expression of this and really liked it.
It's not bad. This is the only bourbon that I can say that i could 'smell' the nose on the Glencairn (I've worked in a chemical plant for 43 years). It has a dull butterscotch taste with an astringent 'mint' finish. What surprised me was that there was no 'burn.' It's 90 proof. Curious how it will age. I wouldn't buy it again, as of today, but it wasn't a waste of money. To each his own....
