Anyone see the secondary drama with Smokewagon last night?
Owner got a lottery page shut down, now most pages are banning sales. Really sucks only way we can get the private barrels here in GA is secondary

So what are they going to do with the special batch now? Sell it just for the same thing to happen? Keep it so no one gets to enjoy it? Not really sure what the endgame is

If you havent participated in previous barrels, you wont be offered this one.
Opening up the barrel picks to TD guys is what built this opportunity. You dont just get offered a barrel like this out of blue. I am rewarding those that were around back in BT/ER days.

Like mentioned earlier, friend tried to get a barrel recently and they sold out in 40+ seconds. So yes very hard unless your liquor rep like you

Thats why everyone was pissed. The main reason SW has become so popular nationwide is because of the secondary. They removed that post from page a few hours ago. Guessing the SW owner sees the bigger picture now

there is a great shop on the north side of ATL, close to i-75. Everyone loves his picks. Sells a barrel pick or two a day. I think he sold over a 100 barrels in 2020. good place to stop as well. No pressure, but if you do, let me know.

Before the SW owner gave away those bottles he specifically asked for the recipients not to sell them on secondary and if you did he'd do everything in his power to get that group shutdown.
Don't flip stuff people give you for free. Even without the secondary market his product will move because it's good.

Most people would not have a clue about SW if it wasnt for secondary. The owner made several statements after the fact confirming this. Guessing thats he removed the post
There is a guy who is the barrel picker for a major store here in ATL. Anytime one of his stores picks of allocated bottles goes up on national market he gets tagged. He negotiates a reasonable solution or at least tries to talk the person out of selling. Usually works. if not, the guy is banned. They caught two employees selling WFP whenever the last week of BSM 10.0 was.

No problem. I have participating in this thread since 2013 and was much more active back then. Health issues have made me cut back on drinking and quit smoking so I have been MIA for a while. Just now getting back into drinking a little more now that I can drink and resist the urge to smoke a cigarette. Would have been nice to have a Blanton's barrel pick but I have plenty of other good juice in the bunker so no worries.

I can ship. TA you're in the NOLA area or BR? I haven't been much of a Saz fan, but I'll grab a bottle and whatever Auburn wants and then ship to him. I've seen enough people here say that it's good, so I'm down to give it a try.
