At the backyard Nola having a pour

Warm up pour is buzzards roost barrel strength then I think I’ll have a pour of the 2025 four roses LE. Just got a bottle of this but haven’t popped it yet, time to see if I regret the purchase. Was a big fan of 2024

What’ is the overall opinion here? The KC cask strength barrel select was good. Unique as it had a profile unlike many of the bourbons I have on hand. I’m ak heavy I guess is the main profile. Which is good. Very distinguishable when blind tasting.

I’d definitely replace it but I have never had Bookers. I see Bookers Big Easy is out everywhere now for little bit more. Is Bookers Big Easy worth picking up instead of another KC cask strength ?

I like everything KC.

Bookers seem hit and miss and a tad hotter than I like.

I have never had Bookers either. Passed on picking up a bottle many times. I would like to know opinions on this as well…

If you like knob creek and you come across a bookers for $100 or less, I definitely think it’s worth taking a shot at it

I’m not a huge knob creek guy though, the 12 year is a good value but nothing special. The 18 is my favorite over the 15 and 21

I will say someone blinded be with my bottle of Russell’s 13 (batch 6) and I thought it was a bookers, which kinda makes since since beam and turkey share a mashbill. I’d say if you like a high proof knob or turkey, definitely worth giving bookers a shot at msrp

Interesting. Bookers big easy is $85 at Costco.

Not anticipating it to be like Russell's 13 but that statement rose an eyebrow.

I like the KC12 and have a couple on hand. Just an overall sweet easy drinker.

Figures because it tastes like nuts.

I really haven’t found a Knob Creek I’ve liked. I hate that beam peanut taste.

I don’t find most Russell’s 13 to be bookerish

But batch 6 is over 120 proof and has that slightly nutty quality. Still wouldn’t have thought it could confuse it with a bookers until I had it blind
