So I got a JT Meleck High Proof so not the single barrel. And I’ve got to say, I don’t really care for it. I’ve shared it with multiple people and no one has liked it. I want to like it.

New riff is very solid. I have their sherry cask finished malted rye and one of my favorite bottles (although it did not start that way)

Yea, it's good stuff. This is the only bottle I've tried but I need to try some others. Problem is there is too much I want to try and I'm not a big drinker..........

TPD I'm coming around to this one. We just needed a little time together.

Blinded these last night. I continue to prove to myself that I am terrible at picking what's what. The only one I got right was Stagg, and who wouldn't? The fact that I could not distinguish Blanton's from the ER or EHT was particularly embarrassing. In any event, the Stagg won going away and is the best thing I have had in 2025 by a long shot. A shame I will likely never see it again.

I think I could’ve picked out the Stagg and ER. Taylor’s and Blanton would’ve been a crap shoot.

Blanton's being a different mashbill made me think I could do it.

Definitely could pick the stagg out with the proof point

EHT tends to be a little frutier for me than Blantons or ER
Blantons tends to have a bit more of a spice kick
ER is a pretty well balanced whiskey in its price point

I'd probably go Stagg, EHT, ER, then blantons

I thought I detected it and was wrong

My rankings were: Stagg, ER, Blanton's then EHT. 2/3/4 were pretty close as one would expect. Could be different today.

I have never done it with stagg jr

but I have done like an introductory buffalo trace blind:
Eagle Rare, Blantons, Weller, Special Reserve, EHT and just normal buffalo trace

EHT was 1, ER was 2, Blantons was 3, Special Reserve was 4, and BT was 5

Picked this up in Columbus as the golf tournament is beginning. Should be a good one.

I would have definitely got the stagg and the blantons. I feel like the blantons is kinda bland but that’s my palate. The other two I’ve had on a fairly regular basis and find they are very close to each other.

Speaking of Stagg, this Buckner’s is 15 year (and 364 days) Buff-Turkey at 137 proof.

It has a lot of the fruit notes that I get on batch 15 Stagg, but obviously with much more age on it. Also, has a watermelon candy note which is unique.
