I added a medium toast oak stave for a week in this old grand dad a while back. I pulled the stave out and just hung on to it.
Different than the original bottle. Sweeter. Not bad. Just figured worth a shot to play around with.

Agreed has slight smoke. I found the nose to be very floral/ fruity, the finish was smooth but initially could not figure out the the flavor notes. Overall, I enjoyed it (Pechuga). BTW thanks to Sir Zappa’s Mezcal postings, they were the motivation to try it. First time drinking Mezcal, yea I don’t get out much.

Had a bottle of Jefferson’s Reserve Twin Oak custom Barrel. Reminded me of Blanton’s. Pretty smooth. Just picked up an Jefferson Ocean because it was on sale at Publix liquor.

Good evening gentlemen. Nice to have a full slate of games this weekend.
1pd from this afternoon. This is well done. I'm not sure I've had a banana note in a WT product before. It's got an interesting mix of tropical and some dark fruit. It's definitely sweeter than any of the other releases I've had from them, but still maintains balance with some oak and spice.

Let's hope this one is more enjoyable than last Saturday.
