Speaking of ryes, I finally gave in for this one. I gave up hope of it showing up at retail. Hopefully it's worth it
Man, I love those OF Ryes. What’s your thoughts on it?

Instead of recycling pics, 1PD Stagg 22B, 2PD Davidson Reserve sour mash. Why can't I create a magic spell to replicate the Stagg...

It's a good first impression. One thing I noticed immediately is it drinks below its proof (130),especially compared to their bourbons. There's also a good balance that isn't present in many higher proof ryes. I'm looking forward to seeing how it opens up.
Love that hirsch btw. That's one of my favorites from last year.

This is not an advertisement for Rouses or their barrel picks, just so happens I've had access for a while.

Ran the B recipes blind this afternoon. The original (OBSV) came out on top. That's certainly no surprise. The standard sib has been my most frequently purchased, and recommended, bottle.

I’ve never had Old Elk. The other day I was discussing an elk hunting trip with a buddy of mine in September. When I went to the store I bought it. If you like a rich, flavorful bourbon try this. Caramel char barrel taste.

F9, how’s that 10 yr rye? Worth the price tag? Saw it pop up last week. Let me know if you need any to trade a sample or so, have a purple top I can give you a pour of!

Rich is one of the first things that comes to mind for me with old elk as well. It's a unique flavor profile so I can understand why some don't like it, but I think it's solid. The double wheat is especially good.
