I was afraid of that. It is very young. Hopefully they will age it longer.

I spoke with the owner's son once. Right now it's aged 1 yr (hence the name). But there are plans of longer aging. He didn't say how long though.

Checking in about the new Northern Rye Crown Royal. I love rye. I love Crown. I just don't think it holds a candle to Bulleit Rye. It's worth a shot, I guess.

I picked some of the Crown Harvest Rye on Sunday. It's good, probably won't go with it again though. At almost $30 id rather go with the Willett or smooth ambler

Yeah, LA 1 the time I tried it, it was almost not drinkable. I really wanted to like it, but I wish them the best moving forward. With that said, here is the obligatory pic:

First taste. I must say I was expecting to be let down but I'd buy it again haha. CBandit thanks for tempering my expectations by saying its a notch or so below Blantons. good stuff

In honor of my new bottle, I finally poured the last of my opened bottle.

Having a little after dinner treat. Go Tigers!

I'm going to have to open mine and try. The one time I had it I remember liking it. But I was at a safety meeting so no telling how wrecked my tastebuds were lol. I have the first batch I think.

Really doesn't need it but I just put it in to cool it down for a second.

There Are A Million Bottles Of This Everywhere Right now...Is This That good? It's been a couple years for me and I guess I just don't recall it being that great.

It's a good $50 bottle...it's hot and has a burn, since it's in the 120 proof range. It requires ice or at least a splash or two.
I usually just drink Maker's here, so just glad for a better offering to mix things up.
