Where did you find the 2012 release? I got a couple bottles of the 2014 release that is the same distillation batch as the 2012 but spent 2 more years in the wood and picked up more of the oak from what I have read. I really enjoy the one I have, not your traditional Canadian whiskey. Let me know what you think uncle jack

haha damn well if you ever pass back through there pick me up a bottle and I'll pay you back haha. I think it's one of those that no one has really heard of and the "Canadian" might turn away bourbon or scorch loyalist but it's gotten high praise from all the reviews out there. At the end of the day it's personal preference though. Let me know how you like it.

I'm 1 mile away at the beachhouse all weekend.. If it's really good stuff, I don't mind scooping some up.

Great scotch

Just bought my first bottle. I am NOT a Scotch drinker, but this ain't bad. It's a Scotch that a bourbon drinker can warm up to.

After a few Sierra Nevada IPAs and Abita Spring IPAs, drinking my finally ready 50:50 Poor man while watching the Tigahs.

Edit: Compared 50:50 to 60:40 last night. I much prefer the 60:40 (it was an eyeball test measurement). That being said the 60:40 has been mixed for over a month and the 50:50 just at 2 weeks. Not sure how much that will alter taste.

Buddy of mine went to Martins in Metairie today. Guy told him that Louisiana is getting a total of 30 bottles of EHT cured oak. I'm a little skeptical of that number.

1PD- Baby Saz OF. If I only had $25 to buy a bottle, I'd probably buy this. It's easily one of my favorites.

If that number is right, pretty sure we'll all be sampling it at the local watering holes. Hopefully this juice isn't quite that scarce to come by. But if so, it may be the replacement for the Tornado bottles we've been looking for.
And that baby Saz, you really can't beat it at that price. It won't overwhelm you wih flavor, but it still hits on all the points you want it to. You know it's good juice if you have numerous higher priced options and that's still what you leave with.

Fireball needs to make a reserve that is 99 proof.

I know that this doesn't belong in this particular thread... but I needed to brain dump that idea somewhere and this seemed a good a place as any.
