Had a Sazerac at Marcello's tonight, and it was good.
Had a really good red wine with dinner, but Elijah Craig 12 is at it again tonight for the finish.

G, we went in there last night, but was told it was over an hour wait. I was looking forward to a Sazerac there as well. Settled for an OF at bread & circus.

Same here.
Ive always considered myself a bourbon guy, but rye has definitely been making a strong push to be my favorite lately.

NOLA and DBP, yes, we were in the Laffy Marcello's last night, and it was busy. Our reservations were for later, like 8:30 or so.
The Saz was good: well- shaken with ice, but served neat/ no ice, with lemon peel, in absinthe washed glass.
Would order again.

We were still there. We sat at 730 and closed the place down...well looked like one more table was left of to the side of the front door.

Nope... "Daddy Saz" would be Thomas H Handy. It is the same distillate as Sazerac Rye at barrel proof and a year or so older. Sazerac 18 is totally different distillate that has been tanked for years.
For the BR peeps, left one W12 on the shelf at Calandros on Gov.
