Anyone tried Willet Single Barrel ? Picked up a bottle the other day. Gonna crack it open tomorrow night probably.

I love Willet Single Barrel, especially considering it's very reasonable cost. In past 18 months, have sipped 3 750's and a 1.75 liter. Have another 1.75 liter that hasn't been opened.

I just sold an investment property so I treated myself to a bottle of Lagavulin 16. It is a lot smokier than I had anticipated but not as overpowering as others from Islay that I have had. Ron Swanson knows his stuff.

I thought it was pretty good for its young age...very interesting flavor from the roasted malt...Olive or Twist in BR has it to try before you seek out a bottle

How old is it and what would you guess is the max you can reasonably age it in Louisiana given the high angel's share here?

Just cracked it open. Nice and smooth. I am used to that oaky bite that Knob Creek has. Totally absent it this whiskey. On the rocks with one iced tea spoon of cherry juice.

All this EWSB talk the last couple of nights motivated me to make that my first pour tonight.

I cracked open my Parker's Heritage 6 tonight and had a couple pours.. Really good. I may have to hunt another one down. I'll be disappointed when it's gone.

it's aged 10 months in small barrels...interesting question about the angel's share...there's another company in Amite with a bourbon laying down now

I've enjoyed my Parker's POH and know where plenty of it is if anyone is interested.

ETA - I can get the EHTBP for $75 plus tax. Is it worth it?

ETA II - ETL for 2nd pour
