Look at you hitting those ryes! What did you think?

I like it... Allot. I think the Bulleit rye just threw me off big time. I thought it was terrible.

What do you think of Jeffersons rye? I might order a couple.

Very good IMO. It's smoother with more wood notes than the Willet; I also think it's a great value for its age when you compare it to WhistlePig and some of the other older ryes. Willet is spicier and has more grain character due to the young age, but it's great for its age. I've got a couple bottles of the Jeff 10 Rye since it's getting hard to find until they find a new source.

ETA, this is from when I tasted a few of them side by side:

That shows the differing palates. I actually liked the Willet better than the EHT. The EHT was almost too smooth for a rye. I got the mustiness and oak spice and some of the typical spice and mint and such on the EHT, but it didn't have enough of a bite. I liked the upfront nature of the Willett and the young grain qualities and the stronger spice and mint and citrus notes.

Overall:
5. Rittenhouse: Great value, but when you taste it next to the others, it doesn't hold up as strong
4. Jefferson Chef Collaboration: Not really that fair to judge a blend next the others since they're all ryes and more up front than this smoother blend
3. EH Taylor: Like I said upfront, almost too smooth
2. Willett: Great profile and some good young characteristics
1. Jeffersons 10 year rye: Great rye with the spice and citrus and grain qualities, but mellowed by the years and also adds some great oak spice as well

I found a site that had it, guess I'll order a few since it's getting hard to come across.

What other ryes should I look to try?

Under $40. I don't like it enough to pay big bucks but would like a few bottles of different stuff

The EH Taylor Rye seems to be liked by many; it's very smooth which appeals to a bunch. The Michter's Rye is very good as well. I haven't had it yet, but the Smooth Ambler 6 year Rye was highly touted by a buddy of mine who loves ryes, especially the spicier ones. My favorite one now is an expensive one called Lock, Stock and Barrel. It's a 13 year rye that is very similar to the Van Winkle Rye and has an amazing finish that lasts around 2 minutes; it just keeps going and going.

Edit since I just saw your edit
Michter's is right around that price as well as the Smooth Ambler. If you can find the Koval Rye, it's also quite good at that price point.
