For a bourbon tasting, how many bottles is too many? I was planning on 6 but I currently have 7 different bourbons.

I'll drink one of them for you

Anyone ever heard of Woodward Reserve(not Woodford)?

Had a glass of it on the rocks on a cruise and it was very nice. Can't find it anywhere on the interwebs other than the menu of the bar on the boat. LINK

It is printed the same way on the menu on the Disney cruise ship and has been for some time. I'm surprised Disney would miss it.

It could be a customized whiskey. Some places have been known to buy mash from distillers and age it themselves or some other third party according to certain specifications then put their own name on it and market it as an exclusive thing. Or could just be a misprint for Woodford Reserve.

Good luck on the 4 Roses Ltd. talking to CJ at Calandros last night, and his allotment didn't make it. Don't know who got the bottles headed to Baton Rouge. Consoled myself with some BT "Heavy Char" from their experimental collection. I'm hoping to eventually grab all 4 that he's carrying.

i dont know if anyone in BR got any... I know Churchills didnt and neither did Cubans

That's where we were speculating it went. Interdasting.

Has anyone tried any of the Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection? There were a couple that CJ had that are in the 16 yo range, so I took a flyer on one. I said I got the Heavy Char, but it was really the Hotbox one. He was telling me that one of the other, unpublicized issues is that a lot of barrel makers have been diverting their hardwood to use in flooring, so there are fewer barrels available, adding to the bourbon shortage.

I just received this email!

I just spoke with Bernie at the Winter Park Store and he told me he was able to order a couple of bottles of the Limited Edition for you! I told him he did an exceptional job of guest service by being able to help get what you wanted! Thank you for your patience!

You better buy every bottle and flip it on the interwebz. The places I found it wanted 125-150 a bottle.
