For a bourbon tasting, how many bottles is too many? I was planning on 6 but I currently have 7 different bourbons.

10-12 for my friends should be good. I can drink 3/4 a bottle on my own.

How long are your tastings? They are either all day or you are very familiar with blackout land.

Is Elmer T Lee cheaper than Four Roses single barrel?
Yes. Usually ETL costs about $26-28 for a fifth. I've seen as high as $30.

No real limit. For most tastings, the amounts are pretty small just to get the nose, taste and finish. If you drink too much of them during the tasting, you won't be tasting much towards the end

Alright, I'm done buying bourbon for the tasting I'm having (at least that's what I'm telling myself).
Here is the line-up:
Eagle Rare 10
W.L. Weller 12
Elijah Craig 12
Willet Pot Still Reserve
Angel's Envy
Four Roses Single Barrel
Noah's Mill
Booker's
Now I just need to decide on the order.

I'm a fan of ER 10 and EC 12. I've never actually had the willet before. I figured I should get to try a few that are new to me too.

still on the search for 4 roses limited edition 2013..

Yeah, I was looking for that too. I settled for the single barrel. I also had no luck finding any eijah Craig barrel proof and Col. Taylor tornado. I kind of knew the tornado wouldn't happen though.

I have actually used twitter to contact some places. Most of the time I will receive an answer to my questions. By using it I have found out that Tampa got all 132 bottle and Orlando got none. I am starting to contact Tampa stores to find out where the bottles are.

Good luck on the 4 Roses Ltd. talking to CJ at Calandros last night, and his allotment didn't make it. Don't know who got the bottles headed to Baton Rouge. Consoled myself with some BT "Heavy Char" from their experimental collection. I'm hoping to eventually grab all 4 that he's carrying.

I have put a deposit on 2 bottles. Let's hope all my leg work comes through. I emailed the distillery, got in contact with FL rep, then talked to the distribution company then a store and put a deposit on two bottles.

I ran across something today that I had never heard of, High West Campfire whiskey. Its a blend of 6 year old bourbon, 5.5 year old rye, and 8 year old peated scotch. Has anyone tried it?
