I would tell churchills they could shove that bottle. I am damn sure not paying $750 for a pappy 23 that is not all SW. The only, only bottle I would think about is a A.H hirsch because you know its old SW juice

i thought so but the more articles I have read, Julian states that there has been a mix of SW and BT after 2009.

less and less SW juice has been added to pappy. its becoming more and more bt juice every yr. Julian thinks they have enough sw juice to mix a bit until 2016, after its all gone.

It was hand selected by their Spirits manager. Heaven Hill basically sends you a bunch of samples and you select the one you like the most and they bottle the entire barrel and send it to you.

Hey guys, used to be a big whiskey/bourbon drinker but have been out of the loop for a good while. I'm looking for a nice bourbon to add add to a vanilla porter I am brewing.

Anyone in Houston or those who know the market heard about the scheduled distribution for the AE cask strength? I was told middle of this week but when I called Spec's, they said they aren't getting it this week and don't know when they are.
I have this weird feeling that they are getting a bunch of calls for it and have decided to hoard it for their preferred customers.

Yea, I was hoping the demand wouldn't reach that level.
According to the guy I was put in contact with through this thread, Houston is getting 175 bottles. I knew if word spread too soon it would be hard to get my hands on a bottle.

Yep thats the one he is talking about...those go for 800sih on up regularly but its long gone and good so its more normal than the high tag of pappy.

Exactly! I think I just got a bit of that from my once good source of pappy/btac where my connection has moved on. I called today to check on there shipment and my new contact wasnt in but the guy on the phone told me they didnt get anything this year. I knew that was BS tho so sent a email to my new person. He informed me they got 3 bottles of pappy and no btac and he thinks the owner is keeping the 3 for his customers. So it looks like my season just came to an early end and now I dont think I want to continue with that contact....ah well rant over lol.
