Last time I went was probably 3 months ago, but they always seem to have some good stuff. I had Cured Oak, Saz 18, and JPS 18.

Had a buddy tell me that as of a month ago, they still had JPS 18.

I'm thinking Blanton's Gold and Rockhill Farms are about the same.

I was a huge fan of the gold when I first tried it. But now I think the SFTB is much better.

Cure has 3 bottles of tornado they held back. They told me they are cracking one soon...that was in July.

Aahhh... Finally able to drink some proper whiskey after having to choke down bourbon for the past week.

Talisker (8.5): As with the Talisker 18, this is really good. Has the oakyness of the highland scotches with some of the peatyness of the Islay scotches without tasting like drinking moss-water.
Lagavulin (7): It is really good for what it is. Very intense peaty flavor. Seriously complex. An excellent scotch. With that said, I don't like much but I am trying.
Laphroaig: (3): I pretty much knew when I put it in the game that it wouldn't hold up against the others. Limited flavor intensity and complexity. Harsh finish. It belongs in more of the 12/15 yo scotch category. It would probably compete pretty well there.

Oh come on man. Everyone knows scotch is the Beta whiskey. If it weren't, why does it always get bourbons sloppy seconds. Bourbon rolls through that new charred oak like a pimp baw!

You know. You are probably right. They have only been making scotch since the 15th century. I am sure they are still trying to figure out how its done.

Them there fighting words! I respect scotch and all that it represents. Without the Scotch and the Irish people, there probably wouldn't be bourbon or at least our bourbon we know today. But conversely, our used American Oak barrels turn your scotches into great scotches. Both can be very tasty and both can be very bad.

I don't think you can really make the argument that one is better than the other because everyone enjoys things differently. You can't tell me what my taste buds say and vice versa. Both are excellent choices for drinking and both depend on each other to exist.

I was there a month ago. No Tornado that I saw. I consumed my share of VW rye though.
