any body ever try the bottle of Jefferson's that is a small hatch brewed for Dorignacs???

Hadn't tried it, though I've seen a lot of stores with a "special edition" of some bourbon made for them...
I imagine it tastes similar to the rest of the small batch...
Only had the 18-year, though I'm sure Jefferson's small batch is good as well...
Got a bottle of the Knob 9-year single barrel reserve as a gift last night, looking forward to trying that and seeing how it matches up with the Four Roses single barrel...

actually bought the 4 Roses Small Batch today. Reviews seem good and it came with a flask

Got my 2nd bottle of Buffalo Trace today. Not as smooth as Eagle Rare, but 5% more alcohol!

Is it just me or does it take time? I've always been a mixer but have recently started looking more high end, drinking on the rocks, or with a little water, etc.

Even with the descriptions of some of the posters here, I'm like 
I'm still at the point of "this really burns" or "this is pretty sweet, I can drink it easier than others".

I ended up drinking about a half of a bottle of Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. I'm not positive which release it is but I think it is the forth or fifth. It was the 134.5 proof release barrel proof uncut and unfiltered. It was the only thing that made the game bearable.
So new rule crappy offensive play calling calls for at least a 120 proof bourbon.

Just rocks. I let it settle a bit on the rocks before diving in. But if you really want some heat try the George T Stagg it has been running over 140 proof the last few releases.

Of the places I have been to, it seems that Churchills has the best selection, followed by Cubans, then some of the Calandros stores, and Churchills and Cubans are a few dollars more expensive than Calandros on the products I have looked at...

I've had the single barrel at 100 proof and would argue its among the best bourbons I've had. At 134.5 it could be a bit rough..

I haven't been to Churchill's in ages. I usually buy liquor at Martin Wine Cellar or Cuban Liquors. Martin has good prices, nice selection, Cuban is a little more expensive but they carry more whisky and bourbon.

Only problem is that the article will only make it that much tougher to get next year...guessing the 23 will go for $1,000...
Side note...opened the Knob single barrel tonight: 120 proof, just enough bite without being harsh while still bringing a strong flavor profile...very good sippin' whiskey...
