Anyone go to the Cove a lot? I haven't been there in a few years. What's it like now?

Guessing they're just capitalizing off their proximity to studio city. I had a good laugh.

Found a great website with reasonable prices.

WOW. It makes me wonder how successful they are at selling $8,000 bottles of bourbon.

Ridiculous selection of Bourbon and Scotch.

Its solid.

Finally made a mint julip for the 4th this weekend and have been on a kick since.
I muddled mint, powdered sugar and a little water, and used buffalo trace and crushed ice. Good stuff.
Any other variations or other summer whiskey cocktail recommendations?

Boulevarderie

It's a negroni, but with rye instead of gin. EC12 goes well too.

Anybody hear about a distillery catching on fire in Kentucky? I can't find anything about it and someone told me they heard it on the radio

Htt LINK

No it wasn't a distillery but a building on whiskey row in Louisville. Owned by Brown-Forman, it was a few doors down from their actual distillery that they are currently remodeling now.

If so...can you wait until tomorrow before you adjust your prices? I'll swing by tonight.

Yall ever heard of Blade & Bow? I've seen a regular one and a 22-yr one. Claims it's the last of the Stitzel-Weller juice, I'm guessing it's just a fraction of the mix though

They used a solera aging process so most likely they put an eyedropper worth of SW juice in, aged and bottled it there and hoped to capitalize on the SW craze.

I've heard good things about the 22 year but since it's Diageo, I'm gonna assume that partial truths and whole lies abound with this release.
