Well it's a sad day in the world of Bourbon. Jim Rutledge has announced he's retiring from Four Roses at the end of the summer. I will definitely be drinking some 4 Roses tonight now.

We will have to incorporate 4 Roses in our next society meeting; fortunately we already were planning on it but shucks, really hate to see him go.

I was just coming to say the same thing. Hopefully the new guy has learned everything he can from him.

I'd love to have whatever he chooses as the commemorative bottle for his retirement but I'm sure they will never see a shelf anywhere.

I imagine they'll do some sort of "50th" SE since it will be his 50th year.

The "new guy" has been there for like 20 years and has been head of QC for a large portion of it. I think 4R is in good hands

FPD ETL

I'm trying to think of what's better than relaxing in my backyard on a beautiful night and sipping on good bourbon, while the lightning bugs are lighting up the yard like a Christmas tree. I'm not coming up with much. Cheers baws!

I ordered a sample of all 10 mashbills from this guy I know, can't wait to try them out. Trying to accumulate the full set myself but it's not easy.
