Not even close to the best thing tonight. We both found it disappointing.

I bought a half gallon of Larceny this evening
Not bad for a mid tier
It's 92 proof, not sure if that's just their standard proof

Really. Interesting. What was the biggest issue with it?

Wow that is really bad arse...I don’t need a computer but that makes me want one
I bet Weller full proof was a little young tasting and hot to drink. Riding the name coat tails for profits.

Need a little help...
Not a huge whiskey drinker...
We have created a Buffalo Trace marinated cigar for one of our clients in Dallas (Twin Peaks-Addison)
I have another client that would like the same, but out of integrity, I can not use Buffalo Trace for them as well.
Can you suggest a similar product...if less expensive ..better ...that I could sub for Buffalo Trace ?
Thanks

Eagle Rare and Elijah Craig are two solid substitutes, though maybe slightly more expensive

Eagle rare is as close as you can get to buffalo trace... does it have to be a different distillery?

A little input on a new RUM.
Well, not new, just a new production.
Bacardi Rum (Puerto Rico) has released 4 versions of their rum in honor of the founder Facundo Bacardi.
2 are white rums, 2 are dark rums
The white rums are very good, but I do not see an exceptional side to them.
In the dark side:
#1 Paraiso:
The rum in Paraiso is blended and then rested in French cognac barrels which previously held XO cognac.
Not a heavy Oak taste, but not being a heavy whiskey/scotch drinker...., I am not a fanatic.
It also retails for about $ 250.
# 2 Exquisito:
This rum is to have been created with "cigars" in mind and frankly, it is excellent. Retails for about
$ 125 in TX about $100 in FL, not sure if available in LA.
Both of these are to be in limited quantities. I was told 6000 bottle total. We created some cigars for their launch party in Texas (Dallas).

Which is hilarious...I saw a post one Sunday where some baw cleared a store of 4 cases of the stuff at $199 a bottle. Dumbass tater spent thousands on hype juice....but of course most of it is probably getting flipped..so there's that

Full proof is super rare, and at a much higher price point.
From there, I’d say 12, 107, then reserve in terms of scarcity

No, just looking for a different name.

yup eagle rare is your best bet here. Not too much more $$ than buffalo trace and it's actually the exact same juice, just aged in a different part of the warehouse.

*note, this was a spec's single barrel selection. Regular distillery releases may be better (or worse)

Excluding W.L. Weller, C.Y.P.B. is the most difficult to find. Full Proof was recently released and flooded the market.
I just bought a bottle of C.Y.P.B. $375. You can get Full Proof on the secondary market for under $300.
