Bug, I did the same thing when a honey hole said I just missed the boat on the BTAC’s (which have actually gotten at least one rough review this year)
Saw the 1920 on the shelf and left a happy camper.

Great minds!
Next pour was some eagle rare and the final pour of the night was egg nog spiced with a little eagle rare.
ETA: and I’ve realized, I can handle barrel proof much easier when it’s really cold on a big ice ball.

It’s actually a good way of enjoying BP pours...allows you to enjoy the transition to a lower proof. ECBP drinks great with an ice mold.

How do you like that Screwball? It’s pretty good straight out of the freezer.

Oh man some good pours tonight:
Russell's 2002 distillate...man I didn't know this existed but now I need to hunt one of these down
40 yr aged Cognac - don't have a big frame of reference with Cognac but this stuff was awesome.
the 4R Al Young is also deserving of the hype it gets

I don't think I've seen in Louisiana, but definitely check out this Redbreast Cask Strength if you see it.

Thoughts on Old Fitz BiB 13 yr, is it worth the $145?

Highly thought of by many. Comes in a nice glass decanter. I would probably hop on it.

If you guys had $200 to spend on bourbon how would you do it?
Posted on 12/24/19 at 10:39 am to clownbaby
You’ll likely be past the worthwhile price point after about $80 for a single bottle...
I’d get a variety that might involve:
EH Taylor SB
Old Forester 1920
Basil Hayden’s
Whistlepig 10-yr Rye
Eagle Rare
Elijah Craig
(Trying to mention bottles that would be available most places)
