So Feels Like the First Time has 5 P2 staves, 3 Cuvée, and 2 Spiced

Livin La Vida Mocha has 5 Mocha staves, 3 Cuvée, and 2 Spiced.

Both barrels had the 10 staves added to the original Maker’s Mark Cask Strength Barrel and aged for an additional 9 weeks in a limestone cellar.

Update on the barrel:

Window is cut, now waiting on the shelf to come in (next week)

I need a FPD

6,000,000th barrel of BT

Is the juice anything special (aged longer), or is it just a garden variety bottle of bourbon in a fancy package?

Not trying to sound like a jackass, it’s a legit question.

Someone post a good whiskey sour recipe. I’m in the mood for one for some reason.

Antique - this barrel was aged about 11 years. I don’t know this for a fact, but I always understood regular BT to be around 6 years.

I might step on a few toes with this post but:

My 2PD was McKenna. It’s good, but I don’t see it as bourbon of the year. I find it just above middle of the road. Now granted, I suffer from heartburn and when I drink high proof juice, it usually hits me instantly. This 100 proof McKenna doesn’t give me heartburn.
You should have seen the bartender at the Turtle Bar when I asked him to cut a PVW15 I ordered.
This is also the reason I traded a bottle of GTS to a member here. There was no way I could enjoy a bottle of 132 proof.

This may also be the reason I enjoy Scotch more than bourbon.

I told ya! Great pour.

Good times with the Laffy crew last night. Missed ya Unc! I put a decent dent in the allocated bottles while I was here.
