There's a bourbon made on Hwy 90 in New Iberia that's the 1st La made bourbon to hit the marker. It's GREAT ...CAJUNS CUT ...available in limited qualities ...get on the waiting list for next release which is July 26th rouses in New Iberia , bi-LO in New Iberia, Rouses in Youngsville, Rouses in Baton Rouge, NuNU's in Youngsville, Dorignac's in New Orleans, Felipe's Wine Cellar in Lafayette plus stores in Covington will have there shipments on 26 and 27th of July call now and reserve you bottle now from Barrel 002! Legally I’m pretty sure as long as it’s made in the US (and follows the > 50% corn, new charred oak barrel, etc. requirements) it can be called bourbon.
Has to be made in Kentucky to be called “Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey”, however.
