What sort of shitshow is this new payroll tax change going to be? I read something saying it’s was so involved I may have to send my employees to training to figure out how to fill out the new deductions? Dafuk

NOLA - what payroll change you talking about?

Everything changed at the beginning of 2018 when the new tax law was passed. There shouldn’t be anything else coming down the pipeline. Employees may need to adjust their withholdings, but that’s about it.

Sounds like they have a lot of work to do before they release the new form.

In early 2018 when the new tax law became effective, everyone saw a bump in take home pay due to less federal withholding being taken from their checks. Now when it comes time to file returns, some people are finding out that although their overall tax decreased, they still owe money because they had even less withheld from their paycheck, and they have other sources of income in addition to their wages. It just seems like the modifications to this form will help figure out if there is other income that needs to be considered when determining federal withholdings.

For most joe blow employees who don’t have brokerage accounts, rental property, etc, this shouldn’t be an issue.

Berkshire Room has some outstanding bottles. I had a 2011 4RLESB last time I went in 2017.

ETA: and you gotta to to Cindy’s rooftop at the Chicago Athletic Club. Had ETL & some other good pours there when we went. Pricey but the setting is unmatched.
