The flu kicked my arse last week and only now feeling a bit better just in time for monday night foot ball Rather than pay a Dr. a bunch to tell me I had the flu I decided to kick it old school and self medicate. armed with some doller store remedies like mucinex, thera fly, airborne etc I went with good ole hot toddies and found adding a shot of whisky to coffee in the morning and honey lemon coffee with a shot really soothed my chest and helped me hack up lots of stuff. I still have a cough and aint 100 percent but whiskey in coffee and coffee in toddies sure helped. Be sure to double up on the imuno vitamins like C and such but it ya catch it dont for get your jug it sure helps

I switched from a cup of coffee earlier to my regular go to Elijah Craig. Enjoying a little bourbon with my great pipe tobacco on the front porch.

Is Blanton’s becoming less of a unicorn?

See quite a few bottles here. Hell, I’ve been able to snag two bottles (one Gold) in the last few months.

Anyone here use Flaviar? I'm interested in it to try samples of different whiskeys that I either can't find or don't feel like buying an entire bottle of, but I have no idea what their selection is like or if its worth the $20/month to be a member.

I could be wrong, but I was going to sign up for it awhile ago and it seemed like a rip off to me. From what I remember you only get a sample pack with 3 samples in it once a quarter which really does not seem worth it to me. There are of course other things that come with it like a magazine and discounts from their shop, but nothing that really made the price tag seem worth it

I got seriously into bourbon long after moving away from BR and am wanting to make a trip to Calandro's while I'm there this weekend and check what yall got...hopefully get some specially selected stuff. Question is which location should I go to? Are both stocked? Thanks

Probably in many areas...it's one I don't seek out much, but if I catch it on the shelf I might buy one.

I bought a lot more back when it was $49 most places...now, $56 & up

Thank God for today! The first day of fall in our world. I poured about 8 oz of my favorite sipping whisky into a glass and slowly sipped it while watching the news. With that my chest is calm(still suffering from the flu) the cough is eased up and I wish yall all a good blessed night
