3PD. 2PD was 1792 full proof. Between the turkey and whiskey, I'm about to be down for the count.

More than secondary. You didn’t miss anything. He didn’t have any Van Winkle or BTAC. All he had was stuff like Weller 12, EHT BP, Four Roses Small Batch LE, Al Young, Blanton’s Gold, Michter’s 10, Kentucky Owl. I watched a guy pay $200 for a Michter’s 10 and another guy pay $180 for a Blanton’s Gold. I offered $150 on an OFBB but he wanted $225 cash. I told him that is more than secondary and his responses was “well then go get it at fricking secondary”. I just said no thanks you will never see me in your fricking store again. The dudes a dick. Plus they would only sell me a BCBS Northwoods if I bought a full case of regular. frick that place.

That’s a shame, I’ve heard similar stories from another poster on here. They had some killer SAOS barrel picksa few years ago

Yes they did. But now this a-hole acts like he is doing you a favor to let you go in the back room to get bent over and done dry.

What’s that saying? A fool and his money are soon parted.

Someone help me out here.....

I need a bourbon, a friend came to the house to fix an electrical issue and I want to repay him with a decent bourbon. Something around 30 bucks but something unique as well. He likes Buffalo Trace but has plenty, so here is what I know he has multiple bottles of,
He has plenty of Sazerac Rye, Woodford Reserve, Knobb Creek, Buffalo Trace, and Elijah Craig. So what are some options and where to buy around South Baton Rouge (would like to avoid Calandro's)

Was thinking of Hokus Pokus in Dutchtown, Rouses on Airline, and Bin-Q

EHT Small Batch is what you are looking for. Can get it at about $40 after tax.

Costco has it for $32.99. Albertsons has it for $36.99.

Any other recommendations?

I will ride by Albertsons since I don't have a Costco membership

You can get a bottle of Eagle Rare for around $30. Alexander’s has a good store pick right now. But for $5 more the EHT Small Batch is so much better.

Will keep that in mind.... Also Harvest had Glenmorangie 10 for 39.99 is it worth it?

I don’t know too much about Scotch but I don’t think a 10 year old Scotch will be very good. Last bottle I bought was a Glenfidich 15 year old and I may try the Glenmorangie 18 that I saw for $90. I wouldn’t buy a Scotch that was less than 12 years old.

Thanks.... my bourbon experience is limited to this thread so unaware of a lot of them. Wasn't sure on the Glenorangie since the online price is 45-50 so wasn't sure if it was worth it. I know taste is subjective but seems bourbon has a bigger agreement in taste vs beer
