I just picked up a bottle of Hakushu 12 year for my wife for Christmas. We've never tried Japanese whisky but have been wanting to for a while. Luckily, the ABC had a bottle in the back. Anyone tried this or the other varieties of Japanese whisky and have an opinion or advice?

Happened to me once with a '11 wlw. Was missing for about a day and they called after they found it and I had to go get it at the warehouse

Tracking claims it was delivered. I was sitting in my living room 20 feet from my front door at the time they claim it was delivered.
They've done this to me once before. Claimed something was delivered, I sent an email, and then it showed up 2 hours later. I sent the email late last night for this time. So I won't give up all hope until Monday night.

Jflsufan was right. That Alexander's ER pic is good. It must've missed the chill filter process. Full and full of sediment. one bottle I grabbed had char flakes. Thicker & tastier. My favorite ER yet.

Yep. The only thing that gives me much hope is that my neighbor says that she saw FedEx pass down our street but never stopped at my house. So I'm hoping it's still on the truck.

They are both excellent but I give the nod to Alexanders. More robust and flavorful. Need to get more of this.
