Hardee's. And it's not even close. Their breakfast menu is unsurpassed. The biscuits are second to none. Steak, sausage, chicken.. whatever. Their burgers (Monster, Sourdough, Mushroom'N'Swiss, Six Dollar) are great, even though it takes a while to get them since they are cooked to order. The Monster Burger alone qualifies them for this at 1420 calories and 108 grams of fat.

I remember seeing them when I was young (early-mid 80s), but I do not think I ever ate at one.

I used to love Burger Chef. Burger Chef was the first fast food burger joint to open in Baton Rouge. The first one was located on Fla. Blvd and the burgers, fries, and shakes were 15 cents each. The second Burger Chef opened on Plank Road. I find it hard to believe that Hardees took over Burger Chef because their burgers don't taste a thing like Burger Chefs. I find that the Whopper has a better flavor than the big burger at Hardees. Hardees does serve better quality meat in their burgers. Hardees uses Angus beef but I now see that Buger King is starting to offer Angus beef. I just loved those burgers and fries at Burger Chef. Do any of you guys remember that roast beef place called Danvers? Their burgers were really thick.

I am severely disappointed in yall for not picking wendys. I know its not technically fast food, but you really should think about all the free frostys I am bringing to the tail gate this year.
