I don't think I've ever tried them. In Laffy BTW.

Friend,
We have always purchased our chestnuts at Williams & Sonoma. If you haven’t tried TulaneLSU’s Christmas chestnut soup you must.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

I have seen them at Kroger's here in the past. Haven't been by the nuts displays in the produce section lately so I don't know about this year. Just call them and ask.

I see them often in Asian grocery stores

I went to London around Christmas one year, there were several sidewalk vendors roasting chestnuts on small charcoal grills. I've never seen that in the US.
Could be an opportunity for a Christmas tree stand to earn extra revenue.

Do you have a Winn Dixie near you? I'm in NOLA and picked up a pound of fresh Italian chestnuts @ WD. Went to Fresh Market first and all they had were the roasted/peeled ones from China. Hard pass for me.

Albertsons has them in the produce section. If you never had them, you may be very disappointed.
