Twins is good, but not the best. As others have said, Kellers is the best.
Crystal wedding is #2 for me.

Was told this same thing back in January. Stopped and got one on the way to TX. Worst king cake I've ever had. They shouldn't be allowed to call it king cake. It was a donut. A big arse $70 donut. And it wasn't even a good donut.

You sure you didn’t go to Meche’s? because that sounds like exactly like Meche’s

$94 for a kellers king cake is highway robbery.

Meche’s is a giant donut. Not that’s there’s anything wrong with that

No, it’s literally a doughnut.

Keller’s is similar to a danish, but it’s good stuff.

The real story with Twins is how Gerald Greuning and Mr. Weatherall's media company created a viral marketing campaign for it.

People are acting like Twins hasn't been around forever or that they have some sort of new secret recipe, or that they're a hidden jewel or something. Nope, they got good marketing.

The best thing at twins is the gingerbread and crab burger.

I've never had that. We always go to twins to eat their hamburgers. I never really cared for anything from their bakery, and I've had pretty much everything over the years.

I was wondering why all of a sudden they had so much hype and were pumping out several thousand king cakes a day (according to their Facebook videos ) . That’s awesome for them

My wife got suckered by the marketing. Expensive, average, excellent marketing. 6 out of 10, would not buy again.
