Smoking some wings for the game tonight, got em soaking in hot sauce now, what herbs and spices should I go with?

Last time I did wings I had them soak in a brine for 2.5 hours. I did water, sugar, koscher salt, pepper, and thyme.
I have jars of cayenne peppers and vinegar that I grew this past year. I added a pepper for each wing and a few tablespoons of the vinegar. Gave it a good spicy taste when you bit into it. The wings were great pre buffalo sauce.
I think the key was the vinegar n peppers. But Yea brining is the way to go.
If you're drowning them in buffalo sauce to eat, I don't think they need a lot of seasoning
