Corks normally has good stuff but they make you buy something else with it normally and I just don't do that most of the time. If it's something great I will but it has to be really good.

I've found Willett Rye 7yr several times at Poplar Wine and Spirits (Poplar and Houston Levee).

These are the two closest to my house. The Corks on Farmington is closer to my office, so I'll go there too.

I do the same at Corks, but last time they had the allocated bourbon paired with a handle of Fireball

Busters isn't close, but I go to the one on Highland when I can since the owner has kids in school with mine I can get some good bourbons

you know they opened a new one at Poplar and 240. Down from REI

The Corks I go to is the one by Target. Last time I went there they had Peerless and McKenna 10yr (not paired) and I bought them and really like them.

I think it was around Jan they had Weller Antique paired with Smoke Wagon Private Barrel. Would never have bought the Smoke Wagon, but I've been extremely impressed with it.

I’d imagine they’ll be no chance of seeing BT bourbons since the flood.

You’re most likely right. Thankfully I still have a couple of bottles of Blanton’s, a case of Col Taylor and a magnum of Eagle Rare.

I want to taste some Koy Hill. I’d love to try the 148 proof version

I have the Coy Hill and it's ok. It's no Jack Daniels special release barrel proof rye or the Heritage.

Is that the same as the single barrel barrel proof ryes or is that something different?

I just suggest it for a more attainable and very high proof.

Jack Daniels does a special release every year, their special release rye was from probably 4-5 years ago? It was essentially the precursor to the current single barrel barrel proof ryes that came out in the last year or so.
