Save the strip club jokes.

We'll be getting in just after 10pm and will want something fairly decent to eat, and I'm not talking a lucky dog or slice of pizza. Would be willing to Uber if it means better food. I remember places on Frenchman that I've been to had some late night food. Felix's in the quarter used to be open later but that's now out. A decent late night oyster spot recommendation would be welcomed too.

I had no idea that Seaworthy existed. Thank you for that suggestion.

La Boca is also open late (not oysters, but great steaks)

Flamingo a go go is open until 2 am. Burger and such. I think Ugly Dog serves late as well.

Not sure what you are looking for, El Patio is open until midnight and has a kick arse patio in the back.

Edit, did not see the oyster part, Think Peche is open until 11. Not to check that.

We ended up trying Seaworthy for the first time, and thanks again for the suggestion. We ordered one of every oyster available, also the trout roe. Will be returning for a weeknight happy hour sometime for half priced oysters.

Also hit up Palace Cafe for Easter Sunday brunch. I've been there a few times but was less than thrilled this time. The crabmeat cheesecake was spot on and the turtle soup was good, but the service was super slow and I ended up with a nearly well done filet. Even the live jazz musicians seemed to be on break more than filling the atmosphere with what I would think a jazz brunch should feel like. Awaiting drinks for almost a half hour while there was no music was unnerving. (Commander's would have been my first choice but they've been sold out for weeks.)

Stanley for a Reuben, her eggs Benedict.

This is the first trip to New Orleans in a while where I didn't get to Peche...shame...love that place, although it was nice to discover Seaworthy for raw oysters because they will let you order just one of any kind. Peche requires you to order a half dozen of the same. It's my only knock on that place.

Frenchman Street was experienced Saturday night, as were other things that I really can't talk about here.

Graveyard hopping was fun.

A casino craps session while my lady friend took a nap was stellar which literally paid for the whole trip. I got to see the pit boss shake his head while I was on my roll. One of my favorite questions is, "Would you like big bills?"

Again, thanks for the Seaworthy suggestion. I'll be back for sure since they have their raw bar and late menu until 1am.

I’ve ordered 3 of one type of oyster and 3 of another at Peche before, but this was two years ago.

It was my understanding that as long as you ordered at least 6 or 12, you could mix and match.

Yeah, not sure if their rules have changed but I've been there when they've said I couldn't do multiple oysters and they had to be six at the same time.

For future, I'll be planning on hitting up Seaworthy for half priced oysters during happy hour. I'll definitely be back to Peche as well for other seafood.

Plugged this place the other day and I’ll do it again — Ramen Y’all in CBD social. Definitely doing some non-traditional things, but I really enjoyed my visit.

I loves me a good bowl of ramen so I'll definitely check this place when I'm in town one of the three days they're open.

Ha! He's my guy, but I wouldn't plug him if I didn't think it was good. He previously cut his teeth in the kitchen at Commander's and then went to Yamato Noodle School. So he's steeped in tradition, but he's also trying to make something that's imminently relevant to the region.

My last time in NOLA I made a point of stopping by and had his oyster ramen. Not your standard bowl, but with that oyster brine it added a lot. I'm now looking forward to my next trip in a few months so I can try a more "traditional" bowl. Just be careful. If you order it spicy, it's coming out spicy! And I'll say that his recent posts on social media experimenting with a crawfish ramen have my interest as well.

I’ve heard good things about that place as well. Ramen > pho when done well.
