On April the 1st, Tom at least once ran a 'promotion' for all the beloved, closed restaurants of recent memory. He said something like: For this day only, April 1st, these restaurants would be open for one day.
He'd then name a few. Callers would ask about a particular restaurant, and he would say that yes, they are in fact open for one day only. Then, he'd ask them the date. Sometimes more than once. It was amazing that no one on the calls seemed to get the joke.

12 year old threads? Really?

I remember I commented in a thread four or so years ago that Casa Garcia had gone downhill. I think my example was the steak fajita had that gray tinted shite quality meat that’s worse than what you get from a Chinese place with no seasoning.

Paul, being the ever Casa Garcia promoter, found a very old thread like these where I had said it was pretty good or something like that.

Friend,

I enjoyed your call to Mary Ann today, or whoever “Paul Allen from Tigerdroppings” was. The stories about mistaking cilantro for parsley with Tom’s root beer glazed ham saving the day and how you called Tom the day you got engaged to get him to call Andrea for the rehearsal dinner reservation were classic. Felt like it was 2004 again.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

I used to enjoy it when callers would jack with him about how great some fast food product was, and then listening to him blow a gasket.
