Whataburger has been on the decline for a while.
It's not the same franchise that was started in Corpus Christi.

In fairness I’ve had In-n-Out more in recent years and very little Whataburger. In-n-Out has much higher quality standards.

I lived in Cali and always thought In-N-Out was overrated and not worth the hype.

I feel like Texas people overrate Whataburger too. It's fine for fast food but nothing special either. The regular burgers taste about like a Sonic burger to me.

I had it once 9 years ago. Waited in a long arse line and all. Underwhelming is how I'd describe In-N-Out. It's not bad, just nothing special but the legend lives on.
They fresh cut their fries, big deal. They don't taste better IMO. I'd rather Wendy's or McDonalds fries any day of the week.

If we are going to hijack the thread for fries, I feel compelled to add that 5 Guys cajun fries are better than anything mentioned in this thread up to this point.
