What would anger you more: Unrefrigerated leftovers or a trash can on your table?

Say you went to a food establishment and when you got there, there was a small trash can used by staff on the table that you saw them move when you got there, or if you know for a fact that they forgot to put leftover Jambalaya in the refrigerator and instead just scooped it out from the pot it was made the night before and microwaved it for you?

What would be more the deal breaker: trash can or unrefrigerated leftovers?

Not a named restaurant, this was at someone’s house and the wife and I are debating which is worse.

The jambalaya thing is way worse. But both suck.

This is why I don’t eat food that just anyone is offering. People don’t know food safety and I just don’t mess with that.

Last summer I made a kickass gumbo, ate it for a late dinner, then forgot it on the stove and went to bed. Was not happy in the AM but I poured it out.

Absolutely the jambalaya is the biggest risk and it's not even close. But that doesn't negate the risk trash can on the table poses. Both are food safety issues and need to be corrected.
